At Mesquite Psychotherapy and COnsulting, we offer EMDR and Brainspotting Intensives. A Therapy Intensive is a focused, accelerated approach to therapy designed to create significant progress in a shorter period of time. Instead of spreading sessions out once a week for months, Intensives allow you to set aside a dedicated day (or several days) for extended, in-depth work. This approach helps clients achieve deeper insights and relief more efficiently than the traditional weekly model.
-
Therapy Intensives are ideal for individuals who are motivated for change and want results without waiting months to feel progress. They are especially helpful for:
● Addressing specific concerns, traumas, or stressors.
● Gaining momentum when you feel “stuck” in regular therapy.
● Supplementing weekly sessions with deeper, more focused work.
Each Intensive is fully customized to your goals and what you most want to focus on
-
Standard 53-minute sessions often allow only 30–40 minutes of focused therapeutic work once time is spent on checking in and wrapping up. In contrast, an Intensive provides approximately 3.5- 4 hours of uninterrupted therapeutic focus. That’s the equivalent of six traditional sessions—or more than a month of therapy—in a single day. The continuity and depth make Intensives a powerful, efficient option.
-
The number of Intensives depends on your goals:
● Some clients benefit from a single one session Intensive.
● Others schedule two or more days if they are addressing more complex or long-standing concerns.
We will discuss your needs together and determine the schedule that best fits your therapy goals.
-
Therapy Intensives are not billable to insurance. These sessions are a specialized service offered outside the scope of insurance coverage. Clients are responsible for payment in full.
