Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

At Mesquite Psychotherapy and Consulting, we partner with a team of licensed medical providers, to offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). This partnership allows us to combine medical expertise with therapeutic support, ensuring clients receive care that is both safe and compassionate. Our medical doctors manage the medical screening, prescribing, and dosing of ketamine, while our therapists guide clients through the session itself, providing support to process emotions and integrate insights that arise during the experience.

KAP uses low doses of ketamine to temporarily quiet parts of the brain involved in rigid or negative thinking, creating a mental state that can enhance therapy. In this state, clients can access deeper emotional awareness and explore patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Through this combined approach, clients often experience reduced symptoms of depression, anxiety, or trauma, while gaining new perspectives and emotional clarity — all in a safe, guided, and supportive environment.
