Neurofeedback Therapy

A New Approach to Supporting Brain Health and Emotional Well-Being

The brain plays an important role in how we think, feel, focus, sleep, and respond to everyday challenges. When these processes feel difficult to manage, finding the right support can make a meaningful difference.

We offer neurofeedback as an additional service to support brain self-regulation and overall mental wellness. Neurofeedback is a noninvasive, brain-training approach that uses real-time feedback about brain activity to help individuals practice more regulated patterns over time.

Our goal is to provide personalized care that recognizes the connection between brain activity, emotional well-being, and daily functioning.

How Does Neurofeedback Work?

Neurofeedback uses specialized technology to measure the brain's electrical activity and provide feedback during a training session.

Small sensors are placed on the scalp to monitor brainwave activity. This information is processed by a computer and translated into visual or auditory feedback, often through a video or animation that responds to changes in brain activity.

As individuals participate in training sessions, the feedback provides information that may help the brain learn to adjust its activity. With repeated practice, neurofeedback aims to support the development of healthier self-regulation patterns.

Neurofeedback is noninvasive and does not involve sending electrical stimulation into the brain. Sessions are conducted using specialized equipment and an individualized training approach.

What Can Neurofeedback Help With?

Neurofeedback may be considered as part of an individualized plan for people experiencing challenges related to:

  • Attention and focus: Supporting attention, concentration, and self-regulation.

  • Stress and anxiety: Exploring additional approaches to managing stress and emotional responses.

  • Emotional regulation: Supporting the development of greater awareness and regulation of emotional responses.

  • Sleep difficulties: Exploring brain-training approaches as part of a broader plan for healthy sleep.

  • Overall self-regulation: Working toward improved management of everyday demands and challenges.

Research on neurofeedback differs across conditions, and it is not equally well established for every concern. Individual experiences and outcomes vary, and neurofeedback is not a guaranteed treatment.

A Personalized Approach to Care

We recognize that no two individuals have exactly the same needs. Our approach begins with understanding your concerns, goals, and personal experiences so we can discuss the services that may be appropriate for you. When clinically appropriate, neurofeedback may complement individual counseling and other recommended approaches to care. Together, these services can support a broader focus on emotional wellness, coping skills, and daily functioning.
