Youth Education and Program Development Initiative

Create. Educate. Lead. Make an Impact.

The Youth Education and Development Initiative gives high-school students an opportunity to use their ideas, creativity, and perspective to make mental wellness education more relevant and engaging for young people.

Through our Youth Education and Development Internship, students interested in education, business, leadership, communications, and community impact help create innovative ways to educate their peers about mental wellness.

What Student Educators Do

Student educators have opportunities to:

  • Research wellness topics that matter to today's students.

  • Create educational activities, presentations, videos, and youth-friendly resources.

  • Develop creative ways to teach about stress, communication, healthy relationships, emotional wellness, and asking for help.

  • Participate in youth and community education projects.

  • Help turn educational ideas into organized programs and initiatives.

  • Explore program development, outreach, marketing, and the business behind educational programs.

  • Gather feedback and use it to strengthen future projects.

Research → Create → Educate → Evaluate → Improve

Youth Ideas. Real Impact.

We believe young people can play an important role in shaping how wellness information is communicated to their generation.

Student educators are encouraged to bring their own interests and creativity into the program—whether through teaching, art, writing, digital media, public speaking, community outreach, or business and program development.

The goal is simple: give young people a meaningful voice in educating and supporting other young people.

The initiative welcomes high-school students who are curious, creative, and interested in education, leadership, business, communications, or community service to explore future opportunities with the program. Learn. Create. Educate. Lead.

The Youth Education and Program Development Initiative is an educational wellness program of Mesquite Psychotherapy & Consulting to encourage students to become the next generation of leaders.
